I’ve had a few thoughts on the ideas of the co-existence of man and nature, what that idea means in current times with the abuse of nature, the idea of natural elements in retaliation, and the feeling of abandonment. One thing I have really noticed about the architecture and concrete jungle here in Singapore is the inclusion of natural elements. Not that that is all that interesting, but the ideas and images that I do find interesting in relation is the occurrence of abandonment or even apocalypse and how nature integrated into the architecture would go on thriving just as it is, but everything else would crumble.

inactious really caught my attention when I printed it because I am so interested in the taoist idea of inaction and how powerful it can actually be. Especially in this image where it appears that no action is occurring, it is, in reality, so much action that it can crack, shift, and eventually crumble a concrete bridge. It’s our in-preception that makes it so interesting.
